Hey! My name is Devi, and I’m honored to be your photographer. It’s a true privilege to capture the spirit of community and togetherness through my work. Each family I work with is incredibly important to me, and I’m dedicated to making sure your experience is as meaningful, enjoyable, and smooth as possible. I truly value your time and do not take this responsibility lightly. I can’t wait to bring this beautiful vision to life with you.

Your photoshoot session


My photography is mix of natural, lifestyle moments and a few gently guided poses to bring out the real beauty in your everyday connection. I strive to create photos that focus on emotion, highlighting the connection and love within your family. 



My goal is to photograph you just as you are – real, relaxed, and present with each other. I want to capture the natural interaction that makes you/your family unique, without forcing anything. 


I encourage you to be in the moment, to be present with your family, to focus only on each other to make the most of your session. Let your story naturally unfold in its most simple state. These are the memories you’ll look back from now and my hope is that you’ll instantly take you back to that happy, love-filled moments in time. 





  • Length of full session: Your photoshoot will take approximately 40 minutes. We'll take our time to make sure everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. There's no rush, we'll keep things fun, easy and natural so we can capture genuine smiles and moments.


  • What to wear: The goal is to create timeless, soft, and natural images that highlight you and your family's connection.


Here are a few styling tips to help you feel and look your best.



  1. Choose neutral or earthy tones: think beige, cream, rust, olive, soft pinks, and denim. These colours photograph beautifully and blend naturally with our outback surroundings.
  2. Avoid large logos, neon colours, or busy patterns: they can distract from your beautiful faces and the emotion of the moment.
  3. Flowing dresses, linen shirts, and simple textures always photograph well and add beautiful movement to your images.
  4. For mums if you are expecting: choose something comfortable that highlights your bump. I encourage wearing two-piece outfits such as jeans and a crop top, or a flowy skirt paired with a crop. These styles beautifully show your shape while keeping the look natural and relaxed.
  5. For dads: casual, clean, and comfortable works best. Neutral shirts paired with chinos or jeans always look classic and effortless.
  6. Theme If you’d like to incorporate your Aboriginal outfit or embrace the outback style, that’s beautiful too! This session is all about celebrating love, connection, and our community, so wear what feels true to you and your story.


  • Props: I do not use props during my sessions, however if you have something in mind please let me or Belinda know.


  • Your children: Little ones make the best memories! Please don’t worry if your kids are shy, playful, or full of energy, that’s exactly what we want to capture.


A few tips to help things go smoothly:


  1. Make sure they’re well-rested and have a snack before the session.
  2. Bring along a small comfort toy, drink, or treat - it helps keep smiles natural.
  3. Most importantly, relax and enjoy the moment together - I’ll guide you through everything.



The Aim of the Photoshoot


This special Maternity & Family Photography Project celebrates our Bourke families.

Selected images will be beautifully displayed in the maternity wards at our local hospitals, helping new parents feel a sense of belonging and connection to home as they begin their journey with their little ones.


By being part of this, you’re helping share the warmth, pride, and beauty of our community.
